This is a post specifically meant to make fun of shows that had potential and failed miserably. The moment that i give up a the show is when I stop the recording (while watching), delete it and then goto series recordings on my DVR and remove it completely. This is what i call Stop-Delete-Cancel Recording. These posts are an homage to the specific point that i gave up on the show.

The new show Person of Interest is appealing in many ways. For one, it is a JJ Abrams creation.. or he at least produced it. And basically anything with JJ in front of it is gold.. imho. Then comes the 2 big stars of the show, Michael Emmerson fresh off of the hit show and my favorite Lost, and James Caviezal who sorta went into hiding after he played Christ in Mel Gibson's The Passion of Christ. 2 great actors 1 great producer = {insert smily face here}. However, as it seems, this show just sucks plain ass. Oh and i am forgetting 1 MAJOR thing.. the show is written by Jonathan Nolan. Now for those of you who are living under a rock for the past 6 years, Jonathan Nolan is the brother of Christopher Nolan.. no? anyone? Who is the co-writer of some amazing movies like Memento, The Prestige and The Dark Knight. So how can this show be bad you think?? Oh please read on..
I never thought i would say this but i hate Michael Emmerson. His character on the show is Fitch who is the nerdy computer-know-it-all-big-brother dude. On the show Lost he played the infamous Ben. On Lost.. i loved to hate him. But on this show i just hate him. Which makes me wonder .. is Michael Emmerson just a bad actor overall. I mean if you watch him in this new show he plays the exact same character pretty much. The difference is he is wearing nice clothes and his hairline is a little more receded. Oh and his glasses are waaayy too thick..it just bothers me. I have nothing against the guy but i dont just dont like him. I feel his character is too nerdy to pretend to be a tough guy. I will get more on this later. Then you have James Caviezal who overall i think he is a pretty solid actor. I havent seen him in anything in many years. Looking at his resume on imdb he certainly did work but we just never saw it. Perhaps the casting crew should have taken this hint and left him out of the spotlight and not casting him in a huge potential big hit for CBS. But they didnt and he is the main thing that is wrong with the show. I dont know how else to describe it except I feel like his character ate wood and is feeling the after effects of it. His wooden face never smiles nor grimaces nor smirks nor does anything except well nothing. He is just such a wooden character. Its like he is reading his lines from a card in front of him as he tries to portray himself as a tough guy assassinator. He is not.

I just want to punch this guy.. HARDThe writing i expected to be stellar. It is not. Being a JJ Abrams show i expected the characters to be likeable, believable and relatable. They are not. I watched the first episode with my wife and was completely shocked of how bad this show is. So bad i am spending 30 minutes of my time writing about it. Oh how do i count the ways..
10 reasons why i hate Person of Interest
1 - Storyline and character development feels too rushed. The main characters make no sense and their interatctions with one another. The lead character went from being a homeless person drunk on the subway to being in the "command room" of the other character a third of the way into the storyline just seemed silly. And within 5 minutes of conversation with Finch, Reese is completely sold on teh idea of becoming sober and killing bad people. I dont buy it. I could have written this in high school and i would have gotten an F.
2 - The second episode Reese is wearing a nice suit with no tie. Very elegant and bad ass i may say. This is in the beginning of the episode. After getting shot, beat up 3 times, hit by a car, wrestling with a thug and shooting i dont know how many people, the suit still looks untouchable.
3 - The second episode he is chasing down a girl that is in hiding after her parents were killed in a "accidental boat crash". When Reese finds the girl immediately somebody is trying to kill her. Reese of course shoots this man in cold blood right in front of her. Within minutes she trusts him and never asks who that man is, why is he trying to kill me, Who are you?, what do you want from me?.. etc. Poor writing..
4 - Reese runs into some hooligans on the subway in the pilot episode. He beats the living shit out of them. Later on in that episode, he runs into the hooligans again. This time beating them up and stealing their automatic weapons that they were stashing... seriously???
5 - Finch's supercomputer can predict murders before they happen. In comes Reese to help Finch to stop these murders from happening. Ummm.. isnt that alot of murders to stop in NYC on any given day. Who decides who should get saved..the computer or Finch. what??
6 - Reese shoots the man trying to kill the little girl from the second episode. Reese came in just as the bad guy was about to shoot the girl. Of course the bad guy couldnt just shoot her. . no .. instead he had to do the "speech" before he shoots her. Anyways.. Reese saves the day and shoots the man. Of course he is wearing a bullet proof vest.. Reese doesnt know this.. thinks he is dead. Later on in the episode the exact scene takes place but this time in a hotel. The bad guy is about to shoot the girl and Finch and who saves the day.. Reese from out of nowhere.. he was like in a completely different part of NY.. maybe even in NJ when this was all going down. This was the moment i hit stop on my remote.. erase.. then scheduled recordings and erase series.
7 - Reese seems to be everywhere. How does he get around so quick??? He is 1 man.. is he superhuman too??
8 - the cop is sure enough going to catch Reese eventually.. and there will be some paradox about how the supercomputer can predict murders from happening.. but a good detective can see this way before the computer can.. cricket cricket
9 - Reese should quit his killing people and start teaching AA.. how the hell do you go from being a full blown alcoholic to straight laced killer in 1 day!!
10 - If the computer can see everybody and everything.. cant they see Finch and Reese..isnt somebody watching them.. or is this the big shock that i will never find out because i am done watching this show!!!
