Trick or Treat. Smell my feet. Give me something good to eat. In the case of American Horror Story the "something good to eat" is a either a vomit-inducing cupcake or a punch in the face by ol Rubber Man. The first part of the Halloween episode gave us some better plot direction and more over-the-top scares. Halloween is a time when the ghosts can roam free and this episode certainly didn't shy away from this at all.
The ep starts with the previous gay tenants of the house, Patrick and Chad. Chad is played by Zachary Quinto who is from the phenomenal series Heroes (if and only if you watched the first season.. the rest of the seasons were TERRIBLE) and of course Spock from the new Star Trek reboot. Recently Zachary came out and admitted he was gay. And in this episode he is either playing himself or doing a great job playing the bitchy boyfriend who suspects his boyfriend is cheating on him. The couple get into an argument like a normal married couple would.. ya know the husband having an affair with his ripped up Twink trainer and within a few minutes we are revisited by Rubber Man. Apparently Rubber Man hates gay people because he gave Chad a serious beat down. Im surprised that GLAAD wasnt called on this one! Im starting to think that this gimp would kick the living shit out of THE gimp from Pulp Fiction.
Who would win in a fight? I got my money on American Horror gimp. This guy or thing can throw down. Apparently he HATES gay people. Therefore he would HATE the Pulp Fiction gimp and Zed and the crew.
Flash forward to present day. Its Halloween and the Harmons are trying to sell this eee-vil house. The realtor gives them an idea to get a fluffer. Now perhaps i am naive or just have a very naughty mind but i always thought a fluffer was somebody who "prepares" the man for his scene in a porn movie. Guess i was wrong.. Apparently the fluffers role is to make the house more pleasing. give it more appeal. Hey wait i guess that does make sense now why they use that name in porn. Anyways, the fluffers show up and its Chad and Patrick... umm..arent they dead!. We only see the 2 on the property of the house. Not outside the gates or anywhere else which makes me think that anybody who dies in the house becomes a part of it. The 2 are bickering as they did before they were butchered by the gimp. They immediately give ideas about having a Halloween party to attract the neighbors to the house.

A scene that i thought was funny is when Ben cuts himself after Chad deliberately (?) mentions getting rid of the gazebo that he just built to hide the remains underneath of god knows how many bodies. Patrick assists Ben in the upstairs bathroom because apparently Ben doesnt know how to wash a cut and put a band-aid on it. After Patrick plays Mommy he grabs Bens package. Maybe this was his way of saying thanks but shouldnt Ben have done this to him then? Instead of Ben backing off and screaming for the hills he just stands there and says NO. Now i am not a homophobe at all but if a man grabbed my package i wouldn't just stand there. Once again Ben showing how much he LOVESS sex. And what is it with this guy.. does everyTHING want him.
Later that day (i think) the all-loving Tate comes to visit Ben for his appt. Ben tells Tate that this is the last time that he can treat Tate. Tate begins to cry and says that Ben is the only doctor he trusts. Ben of course falls for this and agrees to see Tate outside of the house. Flashforward a few scenes later... It is Halloween and Tate is out of the house. Ben breaks down to Tate saying how bad of a guy he is and talks about his troubled past. Tate consoles Ben..weirdarama. Its like Tate is somehow getting into Ben's head to trust him. But why?

Back up a few scenes.. Tate of course is in the house as always. He and Violet are in the basement. Now seriously, at this point, why would you even want to turn the knob to the basement door. Tate has this grand idea to play a Quiga board and summons the demons in the house. Of course Violet agrees. So Tate begins to tell the story of the house. The crackpot doctor from the 20s and his socialite wife were performing private abortions for moms-not-wanting-to-be. One woman tells her man about the abortion and who did it and the next thing you know the doctors child is kidnapped from the house. A few days later a knock at the door (which always creeps me out when there is a knock on that door) and the police are there holding an evidence box with the sons chopped up remains. Now i guess this is the 20s so things were different.. but would the cops seriously come to the house with an "evidence" box filled with chopped up body parts. After this the doctor goes nuts and in the basement tries to rebuild his baby.

It then cuts back to present time where Tate is interrupted by Violet pretending she is not scared. They hear some noises upstairs, assuming its the parents but shit at this point it can be Addie, Cosntance, Miora, Rubber Man, the gay couple, Larry aka 2 face, the dead babies, the dead ex lover of Ben's, the ghost dog..you get my point, and proceed upstairs to get Tate the hell out of there.. or into his dark corner in the house where he resides.

The gay couple DO NOT like the outfit of the Harmons and go into a hissy fit. I sorta didnt blame them. The outfits were hideous. The 2 will not leave and Viv goes crazy throwing shit around the house. In the background of Viv you can see Rubber Man just standing there like Michael Meyers and the gay couple decide that they need to get the fuck out. Soon after Viv gets baby cramps and is sent to the ER.
Meanwhile back at the neighbors house.. Addie is trying on pretty-girl costumes. There are few "Mommie Dearest" moments and Addie is wearing a "pretty girl" mask and Constance's maternity dress. There were a few scenes that touched my heart. Addie is adorable and the fact that Constance is not allowing her daughter to be "pretty" urks me. What is up with Constance's past and why is she so jealous of her daughter. In the next scene we see a very happy (i assume.. but she is wearing a mask) Addie trick-or-treating at the murder house. She wants to show Violet her costume. Some Mean Girls come to the house and tease Addie. Addie then runs after them following them into the street. And at that moment. BAM she gets hit by a car. Its like the house wasnt allowing her to leave because we have never seen or heard of her ever leaving the house before. The ambulance comes and so does Constance. Another emmy performance by Jessica Lange..great scene. She is trying to save her baby by bringing her back to the house? Interesting. Addie looks like she may have died at the end of the ep although i am not sure.

a few things..
The Harmons leave to hosptital to return to their house alarm blazing. Why would the alarm be on if Violet was supposed to answer the door for trick or treaters. Or did she hit the panic switch. Where are the cops? The cop ensured that he would be there as soon as possible to Viv if there were issues.. ughhhh .. the writing..
Constance's boyfriend is back in the picture. We know that he is not a figment of her imagination because he was talking with Addie. Cosntance is very jealous of her daughter and doesnt like when she intereferes. And this guy smells better than the last.. hmm.. he must wear Givenchy Play ;-)
At first i thought that Larry was just in Ben's head. But then Violet saw him. It looked a little blurry though through the peephole. Perhaps it can be Ben's physical manifestation of his psychosis.. ok that got deep. Its gonna be interesting to see who this guy is. He is one of the only characters that we see outside the house.
What do Chad and Patrick want? It appears that they both have the same issues as the Harmon's. Both fighting about infidelity. And both want to have a baby. Why did Chad tell Viv about the cell phone bills? Is he trying to help her catch him in the act? why do they want the Harmon's out of the house?
Pumpkin carving is NO joke in the murder house. Shit..everybody seemed to be carving them.
Who is Moira's mother? I loved that scene when she was standing behind Moira. But how come Moira couldnt see her? Is Moira trapped somehow in between worlds?
What are all theses ghosts agenda? Do they have individual agendas or like The Shining do they all serve the house's master plan? Its obvious that Chad is trying to break up the couple but why?
It was pretty obvious that Hayden was gonna pay a visit. Apparently Ben doesn't realize it but he has very own Pet Cemetery in his backyard. I thought the Hayden thing was pretty freaking scary. They did a good job with that.
Ive said it before.. i hate Violet and the "actress" who plays her. Addie scares the bejesus out of you by grabbing your foot from under your bed and your first reaction is "oh i can make you pretty". I would have kicked Addie in the face. Ran out of the room and called the police. I'm surprised the Harmon's dog wasnt on to Addie being under the bed.. oh thats right.. where is the dog again??
